A Lime, a Mime, a Pool of Slime: More about Nouns - Brian P. Cleary, Brian Gable

I love these books. This book will be used in a lesson to introduce nouns. I also love the idea of using this book to assess my students and thier understanding of nouns. They can tally ask the teacher reads the book in whole group or small group for 2nd graders. 

Charlotte's Web - E.B. White, Garth Williams, Rosemary Wells

This book will be used for a number of things. I think it is a great chapter book to start my kids off with. I also will use this book for a point of view lesson and a sequence lesson. this is a great book to have students think about the importance of animals and they way they are treated as well. it would be a 2nd grade classroom book. 

A Bad Case of Stripes - David Shannon

LOVE THIS BOOK. this will be read yearly in my classroom. It is a must have! There are many things this can be used for: imagination, creativity, description, eating habits, and discussions about being sick and being really sick. i would love this book in my kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms.

The Magic School Bus on the Ocean Floor - Joanna Cole, Bruce Degen

This book will be used as a introduction to the ocean floor science lesson. This will help give students a visual to look back on as they study the ocean. this wold be used in my 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms.

The Magic School Bus Lost in the Solar System - Joanna Cole, Bruce Degen

This book will be used to introduce the solar system lesson. This will help give the students a visual for how the solar system works. this would be used in my 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms. 

Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus; Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business - Barbara Park, Lana Quintal, Denise Brunkus

These two books will be used in my classroom for attitudes, good, bad, etc. this would be a great book to share in whole group as the school year comes to an end. I would use these books for 1st grade and 2nd grade. 

Oh, the Places You'll Go! - Dr. Seuss

This book will be used for several reasons in my classroom. It can be used for end of the year encouragement, beginning of the year encouragement, and discouraged students. I would use this for any grade but I would love to use it for Kindergarteners going into 1st grade. 

Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes - Eric Litwin James Dean (Illustrator)

I would use this book for a fun back to school read. This will help all students adjust to the new school setting, especially students who are not comfortable around the school setting.
